How can YOU help?
WLWV ED 4 ALL is supporting two issues in the 2025 regular legislative session:
Lifting Special Ed Funding Cap in Oregon
THE ISSUE: Every school district in Oregon only receives up to 11% of the funding needed for special education students but WLWV has 14% of its students that qualify.
THE SOLUTION: Advocate for passage of HB 2451 and SB317, bills before the State House of Representatives and Senate that would raise or remove the special ed cap in Oregon. If the cap was 14%, it would free up approx. $2.5 million. Click HERE TO SEE THE HOUSE BILL and HERE TO SUBSCRIBE TO UPDATES ON IT

Support Governor Kotek’s Proposed Education Budget
THE ISSUE: Governor Kotek has proposed an $11.36 billion budget for the 2025-27 State School Fund. This would be a significant 11% increase in how the state funds education and would help school districts around Oregon.
THE SOLUTION: Contact your legislator to ask them to support the 11% increase for education.
